The Liceaga Vineyard was established in 1983. Orginally a table grape vineyard, Liceaga began making the transition into producing wines shortly thereafter. By 1991, Liceaga was finally a full service winery.

Along with their Vino Tinto blend of Merlot and Grenache, their house Merlot slightly blended with Cabernet grapes, their Chardonnay, and the Liceaga Gran Reserva Merlot that has won numerous awards, this winery is on it's way to being a serioius player on the Baja Wine scene.

In January 2008, Liceaga expanded it's winery and tasting facilities.
